The Ouch! International Rome Collection Paddle is a firm black bonded leather paddle with iridescent hardware, the impact piece of the Rome set for people who want a flat, controlled smack rather than the spread of a flogger. A paddle is the easiest impact toy to aim and the easiest to control, so it is where I point most beginners first. Rome is the black, no-nonsense set in the Ouch! International range, built for people who want gear that gets used rather than displayed, and this paddle matches the rest of it.

Ouch! International Rome Collection Paddle features:

• Firm black bonded leather paddle with a flat striking face
• Comfortable, sturdy handle for a controlled swing
• Iridescent finish on the hardware to match the Rome Collection
• Flat face spreads the impact for a thuddy smack with a sting on top
• Made by Shots under the Ouch! label, with a 1-year warranty

Who is this product for?

• Beginners who want their first impact toy; a paddle is far easier to aim than a flogger or cane
• Couples who enjoy spanking and want something firmer than a hand
• Anyone building the Ouch! International Rome set

How to use the Ouch! International Rome Collection Paddle?

1. Agree on a safeword and talk about marks before you start; a firm paddle can leave redness and bruising.
2. Test the paddle on your own thigh first so you know what light, medium, and firm actually feel like.
3. Warm up with your hand, then light paddle taps, building over several minutes before any firm strokes.
4. Aim for the fleshiest part of the buttocks and the backs of the thighs only, keeping the paddle flat so the edge never lands.
5. Check in often, watch skin color, and stop at bruising you did not agree on or any sharp pain.
6. Wipe the bonded leather with a damp cloth after use and store the paddle flat.

Techniques & ways to play

• Alternate firm strokes with slow rubbing of the paddle face over the warmed skin; the contrast keeps the nerves guessing.
• Have the bottom count the strokes aloud and thank you for each one; it slows the pace and keeps them present.
• Blindfold the bottom with the Rome Collection blindfold and vary the timing so they cannot brace for the next stroke.
• Bend the bottom over your knee or the edge of the bed for a classic spanking position where you can see their face.

How to clean and care

• Wipe with a damp cloth after use and let it dry naturally, away from heat.

• Clean any surface that touched bodily fluids with a leather-safe antibacterial cleaner.
• Store flat or hanging, never crushed.

Special considerations / warnings

• Never strike the tailbone, hips, lower back, kidneys, or anywhere bone sits close to the skin.
• Keep the paddle flat; an edge-on strike concentrates force and can cut or bruise deeply.
• Bruising can take a day to show, so stop before the skin looks angry, not after.
• Do not paddle a restrained person without constant check-ins, and never leave a restrained person alone.
