The Ouch! International Rome Collection Blindfold is a black bonded leather blindfold with iridescent hardware, shaped to block light and sit comfortably over the eyes. Taking sight away is the quickest way to make every touch land harder, and this is the one I suggest for people who want a blindfold that matches their restraints instead of a loose scarf. Rome is the black, no-nonsense set in the Ouch! International range, built for people who want gear that gets used rather than displayed, and this blindfold is the gentlest entry point to it.

Ouch! International Rome Collection Blindfold features:

• Black bonded leather eye mask that blocks out light
• Adjustable strap with iridescent hardware to match the Rome Collection
• Comfortable enough to wear for a full scene
• Wipe-clean bonded leather surface
• Made by Shots under the Ouch! label, with a 1-year warranty

How to use the Ouch! International Rome Collection Blindfold?

1. Agree on a safeword before the blindfold goes on; losing sight can be surprisingly intense.
2. Adjust the strap so the mask sits over the eyes without pressing on them. It should block light, not squeeze.
3. Guide the wearer by touch and voice once they are blindfolded; never let them move around the room unaided.
4. Build slowly: a breath on the neck, a fingertip, then more. The point is anticipation.
5. Remove the blindfold slowly in dim light; coming back into bright light suddenly is unpleasant.
6. Wipe the bonded leather with a damp cloth after use and let it dry before storing.

Techniques & ways to play

• Use different textures on the skin, like fingertips, the flogger falls dragged slowly, and warm or cold objects, so each one is a surprise.
• Go silent for a stretch, move around the room, and let the wearer wonder where you are and when the next touch lands.
• Combine with the Rome Collection handcuffs so the wearer can neither see nor reach out.
• Narrate what you are about to do before you do it, then wait; the waiting is its own sensation.

Pairs well with / Complete the scene

• Feather ticklers
• Sensation play toys
• Bondage restraints
• Mouth gags

How to clean and care

• Wipe with a damp cloth after use and let it dry naturally, away from heat.
• Condition the leather every few months to keep it supple.
• Clean any surface that touched bodily fluids with a leather-safe antibacterial cleaner.
• Store flat or hanging, never crushed.

Special considerations / warnings

• Never leave a blindfolded person alone, and never let them walk unaided; they cannot see hazards.
• Do not tighten the strap so the mask presses on the eyes; pressure on the eyeballs is unsafe.
• If the wearer becomes anxious or disoriented, take the blindfold off and talk before continuing.
• Keep the bonded leather dry; moisture can make it stiff or cause it to crack.
